Search and Rescue Projects
Many Cambodian children are required to earn cash to support their guardian. It doesn’t matter how much food, clothing, education or medical care we provide, these children are still forced to earn a wage.
The devastating truth for some girls is this: rather than return home empty handed, they will choose to sell their bodies for as little as $2.
So the Princess Project created The Craft Club as a safe place for children to earn an income. Children who are a part of the Craft Club must attend school each day. After school they come to the craft club and create beautiful art, thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to be creative and learn new skills. At the end of each day the Princess Project buys their art from them, so they can take a wage home to their guardian.
Your donations to the Craft Club will pay the children for their art and provide new supplies for the Craft Club, ensuring a sustainable and safe income for the children.
Not only girls are in danger of being trafficked in Cambodia. Due to extreme poverty, little boys are also forced to work on the streets, begging for money or collecting cans to sell to recyclers. They are alone and are in danger of sexual abuse. The risk of boys being trafficked is increasing. In response to this danger, the Princess Project launched the ‘Little Brothers’ initiative to protect Cambodian boys from the dangers of rape and Human Trafficking.
